Our missions come from the State's API Engagement — verified and up to date. We store no personal data about visitors.
Our story
A Franco-American who has lived in France for over 25 years, I am returning to a project born in the early 2000s with my wife, Stéphanie: making civic engagement easy to access for everyone and encouraging participation.
At the time, the available technology and our means didn't allow us to realize that ambition. The project lay dormant for many years.
Today, it is reborn. Thanks to the French State's API Engagement, anyone can now access more than 18,000 volunteering missions on our site benevole.com, and — with volontariat.com — more than 13,000 volontariat missions.
Because volontariat is a distinct form of engagement: neither volunteering nor a job. Service Civique, the reserves and volunteer firefighting rest on a legal framework, a contract, an allowance and a set duration. These missions deserved a space of their own.
Volontariat.com brings together, in one place, every form of volontariat in France: Service Civique, the operational and civic reserves, and volunteer firefighters. The goal stays the same — helping everyone find the mission that fits, wherever they are.
The project is built to last: volontariat.com is a service of the Benevole.com association, a non-profit under the French law of 1 July 1901 (RNA W751286319). Free, ad-free and with disinterested management, in the public interest.
