La Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture « L'Usine à Chapeaux » de Rambouillet est une association loi 1901, fondée en 1960. L'Usine à Chapeaux se réfère aux valeurs républicaines fondatrices que sont la dignité humaine, la liberté, la démocratie et la solidarité. Elle œuvre dans le champ de l’Éducation populaire : laïcité, promotion de la personne, partage des connaissances, formation et exercice de la citoyenneté Elle privilégie une approche globale de l’individu, perçu comme porteur de savoir- faire et de connaissances à partager et susceptible d’enrichir le projet global de la structure. Son action se situe dans le secteur de l’économie sociale et solidaire, répondant ainsi à des besoins non satisfaits par le secteur privé et le secteur public, dans les domaines de la culture, des loisirs et du développement social.
