L'Enseignement catholique représente 7200 établissements, 2,1 millions d'élèves, 138 000 enseignants et est associé au service public éducation par contrat avec l'Etat. Il propose à de jeunes volontaires de s'engager dans un établissement scolaire ( primaire, collège, lycée ) pour exercer une mission d’intérêt général auprès des élèves, voire de la communauté éducative. L’agrément de service civique est portée par une fédération, la "Fnogec", qui en est détentrice depuis 2011 de l'agrément et qui est agrée sur 9 thématiques sur 10.
