Dans le cadre du développement du service civique universel, le ministère de l’Education nationale s’est engagé à accueillir des jeunes de 18 à 25 ans. Les missions confiées à ces jeunes doivent répondre aux besoins de la société et à ses défis notamment sociaux et environnementaux. Elles doivent représenter pour eux un engagement motivant, utile et formateur. En accord avec l’Agence du service civique (ASC), le ministère a défini différents types de mission que les écoles, les réseaux d’écoles (dans le cadre d’un projet animé au niveau de la circonscription), les collèges, les lycées (dont les pôles de stages) ou les CIO pourront proposer aux volontaires.
