Service Civique lets any young person aged 16 to 25 (up to 30 with a disability) take on missions paid €620 a month for 6 to 12 months, across a range of fields — a chance to feel useful, build skills, and discover themselves.

Mission description

Participate in organizing events for all audiences in the Gard related to peasant agriculture and sustainable food. Learn to configure and manage collaborative websites using YesWiki. Engage with major societal issues through citizen mobilization (popular education principles), raise awareness of agricultural and food transitions, and create connections (urban/rural, producers/consumers). Discover and engage within the associative world. Support multi-stakeholder event organization with associative, agricultural, and institutional partners: food democracy workshops, film discussions, and farmers' market animations connected to peasant agriculture.

FÉDÉRATION DÉPARTEMENTALE DES CIVAM DU GARD

Les CIVAM (Centres d'Initiatives pour Valoriser l'Agriculture et le Milieu rural) sont des associations œuvrant dans le champ du développement agricole et rural. Le mouvement CIVAM s’est construit dans les années 50 autour des valeurs de l’éducation populaire, de laïcité, d’autonomie et d’égalité des chances pour tous. Les CIVAM se veulent des laboratoires d'expérimentation et de dialogue entre agriculture et société.La Fédération Départementale des CIVAM du Gard, créée en 1966 compte 617 adhérents en 2020 et emploie 7 salariés. Elle coordonne l’animation et les projets de ses groupes adhérents, composées d’agriculteurs, de ruraux et de citoyens ; construit et met en œuvre des projets transversaux départementaux dans les domaines suivants : accompagnement des porteurs de projets ruraux, développement des pratiques agro écologiques, agritourisme, alimentation locale et circuits courts, développement de l’agriculture biologique et des alternatives aux pesticides en zones non agricoles, accueil éducatif et social à la ferme, éducation à l’environnement et à une alimentation de qualité, accompagnement à la création de jardins collectifs, écologie au quotidien, apiculture …
