Service Civique lets any young person aged 16 to 25 (up to 30 with a disability) take on missions paid €620 a month for 6 to 12 months, across a range of fields — a chance to feel useful, build skills, and discover themselves.

Mission description

Support environmental protection projects as part of the MJC network in Northern France. Work with children aged 3-11 in after-school and extracurricular programs to combat food waste, raise awareness of environmental impact, and develop eco-responsible behaviors in children.

Acteurs de l’éducation populaire – c’est à dire, l’éducation de tous par tous pour tous, tout au long de la vie –, MJC de France et les 1 000 associations de son réseau luttent contre les inégalités sociales par le biais de l’accès au savoir, la prise de conscience des rapports de domination et l’émancipation des individus.Au sein des MJC, l’accès du plus grand nombre à la connaissance, la culture et le loisir, l’expérience de la diversité, de la démocratie, de l’action collective, de la prise d’initiative, du droit à l’expérimentation – et du droit à l’erreur ! –, favorisent la découverte de soi, la compréhension du monde et le développement de l’autonomie des individus d’une part ; d’autre part, l’engagement de chacun dans la vie de son territoire, la création de liens conviviaux et fraternels entre les habitants et le développement du sens de la citoyenneté.Quelques chiffres-clés : - 1 000 associations dont 16 réseaux régionaux de MJC et 21 unions départementales ou bi-départementales - 50% des associations en milieu rural et 15% des associations en quartier prioritaire "Politique de la Ville" - 400 000 adhérents et 2 500 000 d’usagers - 35 000 bénévoles dont 7 500 administrateurs, 12 000 salariés et 650 volontaires en Service Civique
